2nd REGIONAL WORKHOP ON ICT

The opening ceremony of the 2nd Regional Worskhop on ICT-Integration Training for the Next Generation of Teachers was held on 12th May 2008 (8.30am) at Senate Room, Chancellor Hall of Universiti Brunei Darussalam. It was officiated by Yang Mulia Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohammad bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Acting Minister of Education. Also present during the event was permanent secretaries, deputy of permanent secretaries, Director General of Education and senior officers at the Ministry of Education as well as officials from UNESCO Bangkok including Dr. Molly Lee, Coordinator APEID, and also Mr Vincent Quah, Director of Public Sector Programs at Microsoft Asia Pacific of Singapore. This ICT workshop was held for four days (12th May until 15th May) and the participants (besides Brunei) came from different countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Loas, Cambodia, Thailand, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, India, China and USA (the Puget Sound). Liasons Officers from the officers of different departments under MOE were elected to make sure the participants from those countries were given a full and great hospitality while they were in our country as most of them were the first timer to come to Brunei Darussalam.
